Zorgvliet Wines produces award winning South African wines that can be enjoyed by both the wine connoisseur and first time drinker. Planted in beautiful and rich terrain, the cultivars used to create these elegant South African wines complements their taste. The range of cultivars includes Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier, Semillon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot and Malbec.
Zorgvliet Wine Estate is located in the breathtaking and beautiful Banhoek Valley just outside Stellenbosch. It is a working wine farm featuring luxury accommodation facilities and restaurants. To produce these South African wines the estate's viticulture practices together with the state of the art cellar facilities enhance the quality of the grapes ensuring elegant wines.
The estate offers a selection of fine South African wines under three distinctive labels:
- Zorgvliet Richelle which is the flagship Bordeaux blend,
- Zorgvliet range which represents Zorgvliet Wine Estate's premier products,
- Silver Myn range which is a portfolio of unique wines including Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Viognier, Semillon, and Pinot Noir.
Zorgvliet Wines have received various awards over the past three years. These special wines are highly rated in the 2007 Platter wine guide with ratings of 4 stars and more.
Zorgvliet Privilege Club is a wine club with unique leisure benefits which surpass the cost of the wine allocation. Zorgvliet Wines uses screw caps created by WAK Closure for its wine closure. Zorgvliet chooses to utilise WAK Closure's screw caps because WAK Closure reveres the traditional appearance of wine bottles and uses the most modern technology, perfect for these South African wines.
The distinguished Zorgvliet Wines is proud to present its latest wine releases under the Silver Myn range: Silver Myn Chenin Blanc 2008, Silver Myn Chardonnay 2008, Silver Myn Semillon 2008 and Silver Myn Sauvignon Blanc 2008. Zorgvliet's Silver Myn range is a portfolio of unique South African wines. The new white wines will give wine lovers an opportunity to compare the different South African wines ' tastes - either solidifying a bond with a favourite cultivar or forming a new one with a different cultivar.
